Celebrate Valentine’s Day with a relaxing and creative botanical gel printing workshop led by artist Kat. This immersive 2-hour session is perfect for beginners, families, and anyone looking to explore printmaking in a calm, welcoming environment.

Using fresh and artificial foliage, flowers, and textured materials, you’ll learn the fundamentals of gel printing and experiment with layering techniques to create beautiful, one-of-a-kind prints.

• Step-by-step guidance through the gel printing process
• Live demonstrations followed by hands-on practice
• Printing with botanical textures, foliage, and flowers
• Exploring layered print techniques using high-quality printing paints
• A calming, therapeutic creative process
• Time to experiment before creating a final A5 print on quality paper

• All materials provided (gel plates, professional-quality printing paints, foliage, textures, paper)
• Several practice prints plus one finished A5 artwork to take home
• Refreshments available during the session

No previous experience is needed — just bring your curiosity and creativity.

About Kat

Kat is a self taught artist, who embarked on an exhilarating art adventure during the lockdown period. I'm constantly learning and experimenting with new materials, techniques and styles, always pushing the boundaries of my artistic abilities and taking inspiration from the world around me. I aim to capture the beauty and tranquillity of nature in my artwork and work in a range of mediums including watercolour and print.

Parking is available in The Bell Centre Car Park. Please use the second car park entrance on St Marys Way.

Access The Bell Centre from the green gates via the town centre on Nottingham Street or opposite The Cutting Room on St Marys Way.
