Join Catherine Watters at Atelier Clos Mirabel for a week of drawing and painting the incredibly diverse flora which surrounds you. At this time of year, an abundance of plants will be in bloom including: Roses, Hydrangeas, Iris, Lupin, Lilies and numerous fruits and vegetables growing in the Jardin Potager. After selecting your chosen specimen, Catherine will guide you to carefully observe, measure and draw your subject considering the effects of form, light and texture on the plant. You will progress in all areas of the process; composition, colour mixing, layering and lighting — before adding the final touches to make your subject come to life. Catherine will also show you how to create a botanical journal, documenting your experience at Clos Mirabel and capturing special moments from your week in this magical place.Details:
