Join local artist Jenny for a full-day course introducing you to the art of lino printing. Let the tranquil setting of Sheffield Botanical Gardens inspire you with botanical shapes to create prints using a wide range of techniques.Jenny uses techniques that can be easily replicated at home so this is the chance to learn a skill which you can continue.

What to expect:
- You will visit the gardens to collect botanical images and sketches.
- You’ll then learn to trace these onto soft lino, carve and run a simple first print.
- You’ll be introduced jigsaw, two-layer and ‘chine colle’ printing techniques incorporating more than one colour. You may want to return to the gardens to collect further ideas.
- Finally, you’ll have the opportunity to put all of your learning together to create a final print. We’ll look at how layers can be added to create a really effective final run of prints which you will print to quality paper ready to be editioned.
