Botanical Lino printing with Chine Colle
About this Event
Using traditional cutting and printing techniques, you will learn how to design, create and print an image of your own. The theme will be anything Botanical! You will learn about image selection, composition, the importance of negative and positive space, as well as advice on how to avoid pitfalls .
You will leave the workshop with a unique original print, which is perfect for mounting and framing. You will also take your lino block home, so you can continue to experiment and print at home.
You will gain helpful tips, advice and guidance from Sophie Innes, a printmaker based in Shropshire.
The workshop will be held at the relaxing Footprint Gallery in Jackfield, Ironbridge.
All equipment and materials will be supplied for you. There will be a range of resources, or if you prefer, please bring any sketches, photographs or designs of your own to draw inspiration from.
The workshop is suitable for 12+ years – from beginners, to those who want a creative refresher, or if you just want a morning being creative
Bring your enthusiasm and creativity(and an apron) and have fun with like-minded people!
The workshop will begin at 10.30am prompt. Arrivals from 10.15am.
Please bring some light refreshments with you. At the time of publishing we are awaiting confirmation whether the Peacock cafe or a refreshment cart will be open in the Museum Courtyard.
