Join illustrator and ink maker, Gabrielle Eisma, for a class of colorful botanical ink making and painting with foraged plant material!
In this class, you will be introduced to many natural sources that create inks, learn how to modify homemade ink to create new colors, and learn tips and tricks for painting with botanical ink. We'll apply what we've learned with time on the farm painting "plein air" (meaning painting what you see outdoors). You will leave with a booklet of botanical ink practices and recipes you can make in your own kitchen or studio, an experiment chart from the specially made inks from the class, and your plein air landscape paintings!
This program is an intermediate botanical inks class intended for ages 12 and up. All registered kids must be accompanied by a registered adult.
