Botanical Ink Making: Creating Colour from Nature
About this Event
Botanical Ink Making Workshop
Join me in my studio and discover the rich colours hidden within plants in this hands-on workshop exploring the art of botanical ink making.
Using a variety of flowers, leaves, food waste, and natural materials, you'll learn how to transform organic matter into beautiful botanical inks while discovering the remarkable colour palette found in the natural world. Through guided demonstrations and hands-on experimentation, we'll explore how different plants, modifiers, and techniques can create an exciting range of colours and tones.
Alongside making your own botanical inks, you'll experiment with expressive mark-making using handmade brushes and simple drawing tools created from natural materials. The workshop encourages curiosity, play, and observation, inviting you to slow down and explore the creative possibilities of working with nature.
