Join us for a Botanical Illustration adventure!Slow down, look closely, and explore the beauty of the natural world through art as we learn the basics of botanical illustration. Together, we’ll observe native plants, flowers, leaves, and other seasonal finds while discovering how artists and naturalists have used illustration to study and document nature for centuries.
We’ll let curiosity guide us as we sketch shapes, textures, and patterns found throughout the landscape, no artistic experience required! This program is all about observation, creativity, and connecting more deeply with the environment around us.
Drawing materials and clipboards will be provided, but participants are welcome to bring their own sketchbooks or favorite art supplies.
We’ll meet at the Lincoln Lot and explore nearby trails and habitat areas for inspiration. Don’t forget to bring water, comfortable walking shoes, and sun protection!
