Autumn Painting Workshops.
Tutor Jean Harlow
Title: Botanical Drawing and Painting Day Workshop
Date: Saturday October 25th 2025
Time: 10-4pm
During the session you will learn to:
• · Make sketches in proportion of differently shaped leaves and add Autumn colours
• · Use dividers to measure accurately
• · Draw botanical subjects in 3D and add colour and shading (Mushrooms /plants / fir cones etc)
• · Mix colours to create a colour palette
• · Make tones and shadows

Materials required: Hot pressed watercolour paper 300gsm A3 (2 sheets included in course), Cartridge paper A3- one sheet included, pencil 2H, Putty Rubber, Dividers, Magnifier, Watercolour Paints minimum of red, blue, yellow, Watercolour brushes – very fine 0000, to 1,2,4 sizes etc, Painting Palette, Support for floral specimens-eg. Bio-floral foam brick oasis (recyclable)

Costs:
£ 60 If you are bringing your own drawing and painting equipment,
£ 65 If you pay a fee for materials used or loaned on the day
You can also purchase equipment, for use on the day, to then take home
(approx. costs dividers £6, Pencil 2H £1.50, Putty Rubber pieces £1.50, Recyclable Bio-floral foam brick oasis £1.50, brushes £5, Palette £1, prices may change depending on sourcing)
