Need one last day for Christmas shopping without your child? Would you like your child to learn more about cats from professionals, including our veterinarian from Academy Animal Hospital, Dr. Cahill? This is the purrrfect time for kids kindergarten to 5th grade to learn all about cats specific to their age group! We will have 4 groups consisting of; K & 1st Grade, 2nd & 3rd Grade, 4th Grade & 5th Grade. Each group will contain 5-7 participants depending on age.
We have lots of learning and fun planned such as a guest speaker speaking on all things cats from a veterinarian's point of view, age-specific lessons, songs with the cats, crafts per group, games, kitty cuddles, and snacks! Each participant will receive a cat-themed activity book to take home with other crafts!
Parents must drop their children off at the beginning of the event and pick them up at the end. We will have systems in place for parent pick-ups & emergencies consisting of matching bracelets, same drop of person has to pick up the child they dropped off unless prior arrangements have been made and agreed upon, waivers, emergency contacts etc. Normal "business" hours for kitty visits will be closed for the day allowing our group leaders to focus solely on the safety, education, and activities of every participant at the event.
