With the summer months approaching, it is difficult to keep a stable blood supply for Oklahoma. Our High Schools are closed, and people generally travel during these months, preventing them from donating blood. The blood supply has been affected by the recent severe storms and tornadoes. So, this makes it even harder as we go into the summer season. We need all eligible donors to donate blood. It takes 1200 units each day to keep our hospitals and patients supplied with the blood they need. As you know, each donation will save up to 3 lives and quite possibly the life of someone you or your donors know.
Our goal is 35 donations with the capacity to see 52 people.
Police won last year by having the most donors out of the 35 donations we collected.
