For students with some prior experience only. A compact class that focuses on increasing proficiency making a particular classic hot glass object.
Students will learn how to make blown glass ornaments first by observing demos of:
-Blowing thin, even, lightweight spheres
-Using the ribbed and diamond optic molds
-Keeping control of form while creating narrow jacklines
-Forming small and well-shaped loops for hanging
Then students will have time to drill these techniques under supervision.
Includes glass frit color.
This class is open to students who have previously taken a beginners class at Burnt Glassworks, or another equivalent class elsewhere that covered basic skills including: gathering from a furnace, marvering, thumbing a bubble, forming a jack line. Ages 16+.
This class includes two 3 hour studio sessions - $175 + taxes
October 1st & 8th from 5 pm to 8 pm

A deposit of $50 is required in order to register. The balance of $125 + taxes is due at the day of class. The deposit is refundable until 10 days before class starts. In the event that the class is canceled for any reason, the deposit will be refunded in it’s entirety.
