Join us for a FREE Pre-Employment Cohort designed for newcomer youth and adults to excel in their job search and enhance their overall well-being. This program provides essential skills and confidence to navigate the job market successfully while offering strategies to manage stress.

What to Expect:

• Basic Digital Skills: Build basic digital skills to create a standout resume, track your job search, and use supportive tools like LinkedIn, Canva, and AI.
• Job Club: Join in-person practical classes to enhance your employability skills, develop a personalized job search strategy tailored to you, and begin networking!
• ESL Support Classes: Improve your English skills to succeed in job interviews and create a compelling resume. Our classes focus on practical language use, covering speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills essential for the workplace. Gain the confidence and proficiency needed to communicate effectively in professional settings and to advance your career.

• Well-being Support & Stress Management: Explore resources and practices to boost your overall well-being. Gain techniques to manage stress and maintain a healthy work-life balance.

Who Should Attend:

• Newcomer youth and adults seeking to improve their employability skills.
• Individuals looking to boost their confidence in the job market.
• Those interested in learning stress management techniques.

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?

• Newcomers who are 15 years old or older.
• Living in the Lower Mainland.
• Convention refugees (confirmed refugees).
• Permanent residents.
• CUAET Visa holders.

Event Details:

• Dates: July 3, 6, 8, 13, 17, 20, 22, 27, 31.
• Time: Mondays bi-weekly from 5:00 to 7:00 pm; Wednesdays bi-weekly from 3:30 to 5:30 pm; Saturdays weekly from 10:30 am to 12:00 pm.
• Location: Online/In person, 955 Burrard St, Vancouver, BC.
