About this Event

We are the Texas Brewery Running Series® and we run for beer!

Join us for the 5th annual Boos & Brews Halloween 5K on Saturday, October 31, 2026, hosted by Alamo Beer Company right beneath the historic Hays Street Bridge, in downtown San Antonio.

Grab your friends and family, and get ready to run, walk, jog, or stumble like a zombie through a scenic 5K-ish course—then raise a glass at the finish line with a craft beer brewed just steps away. Whether you’re in it for the run, the beer, the community, or just looking for a fun way to celebrate Halloween, this event is open to all ages and fitness levels.

Be sure to bring your Halloween spirit, and join us at Alamo Beer Company for an amazing day of running, craft beer, costumes, and community. Since this year’s run takes place on Halloween, costumes are definitely encouraged — but never required. Come dressed as your favorite character, spooky creature, beer-loving ghost, or just your regular running self.

Event Details

When: Saturday, October 31, 2026
Time: Fun run starts at 11:00 AM (Check-in from 10:15-10:55)
Where: Alamo Beer Hall | San Antonio, TX
Course: A marked 5K-ish route that starts and ends at the brewery, weaving through San Antonio's Dignowity and River North neighborhoods. Course map + parking details will be emailed the week of the event.

Our Mission

Be active. Have fun. Give back.
A portion of proceeds from every event supports local nonprofits, helping make a positive impact in the community. Nationally, we have raised more than $725,000 to date! This run will support the San Antonio Food Bank, and we’re hosting a food drive. Bring non-perishable food items and earn a ticket for our Give Back Raffle for each item donated.

Important Details:

• This is a fun run, not a timed race—all paces are welcome, whether you run, jog, or walk.
• Open course alert: Roads will not be closed. Follow all traffic laws and stay aware.
• Our 5K-ish route starts and ends at the brewery and is designed to highlight the surrounding neighborhood. Follow the arrows and enjoy the sights!
• Bring a valid ID. You must be 21+ to enjoy the beer. Underage runners will receive a token for a non-alcoholic beverage.
• Rain or shine! If conditions aren’t safe for running, we’ll still gather for good times and great beer.
• No bag check—please pack light and dress for the weather.
• Dogs and strollers are welcome, but use caution. City sidewalks, streets, and trails may have uneven terrain which might not be suitable for your 4-legged and/or pint size running buddies. Alamo is dog and kid friendly, but requests dogs remain outside in the beer garden.
• Please drink responsibly. Carpooling or designating a driver is always a good idea.
