Create and customize your own boombox inspired by the Boomtown exhibit at DuMA. Families are invited to come together for a hands-on art experience alongside "Boomtown: A Thank You Note" featured artist John Swartwout, where you’ll assemble, decorate, personalize, and take home your very own miniature boombox. Using pre-cut foam shapes, you’ll glue pieces together to build your box, then bring it to life with paint, glitter glue, and your own custom designs and patterns.Recommended for ages 8 to 16, with youth up to 18 welcome.
All supplies are provided with $35 admission, plus full museum entry to the galleries before or/and after the workshop for each child and one family guest.
