Rounding off the Easter Weekend of Walks is a wonderful beginner friendly hillwalk that will take us from.the Glenmore side and along the lower slopes of Sliabh Foy and Carlingford Mountain before making our way up along the river and ravines towards the White Bog. From there we will walk along the hillside stopping at the remains of the Booleys and learn about the way of life in days gone by. There is so much history and heritage in our beautiful mountains 😍
We will then traverse the mountainside and join the Táin Way and back to our starting point at the Glenmore Stone.
This will be a gentle paced walk and although there is a hill involved and uneven mountain terrain it is doable for anyone with a reasonable level of fitness. Proper clothing and footwear are required. No jeans or runners please.
Difficulty: Gentle paced with uneven mountain terrain and some inclines.
Meeting Point: The Glenmore Stone. Glenmore, Riverstown.
