πππππ! π ππππ ππ ππ π ππππππThis is going to be a cozy get-together, because I dislike formality and canβt remember squat. But I am a national best-selling author, screenwriter and columnist. I started writing novels twenty years ago at the age of fifty and Iβve just finished my 17th novel that will be out in the fall, so I do know a few things that Iβm happy to share
Iβm not a textbook. I donβt have all the answers. But I do have two decades of experience with this nonsense. I must be mad. Donβt come thinking youβll be writing your novel the minute you get home. But do come knowing that itβs not impossible. I did everything the wrong way. Never took a workshop, or a writing class. I just needed to get something down and look at what happened. People want me to show up and talk about it. If anything, weβll have fun. And thatβs what matters.
