April’s selection, Everything I Learned in a Chinese Restaurant by Curtis Chin, is a heartfelt and humorous memoir about growing up in his family’s Chinese restaurant in 1980s Detroit. Through food, family, and community, Chin explores identity, belonging, and resilience in a changing city. Warm, insightful, and deeply personal, this book offers plenty to reflect on and discuss together.
Copies are available for checkout at the Norton Shores branch of the library, with a limited number also available at the Brewer’s Lounge.
