-Craft for Kids: Seed Bombs from 11am-1pm
Meg Holeva will show kids how to make seed bombs used for gardening! All supplies will be provided. Ages 8+. Located in the children’s room of the library!
-How to Gift Plants Presentation from 12:30pm-1pm
As plant-lovers, it is important that we choose a plant that will be successful in someone's house, for the benefit of the plant, the person, and sustainability efforts. There are three main aspects that will be emphasized in a presentation by Averi Fier: the importance of the style, watering requirements, and light requirements of the plant. Examples will be brought along! Located in the Ray Leverton Community Room.
-Spring Foraging Presentation from 1:15pm-2:15pm
Join us for a presentation by an MDARD Certified Wild Mushroom Expert Identifier for an overview of a few commonly found spring mushrooms and foragables in our area! Located in the Ray Leverton Community Room.
-Planty Poetry Workshop from 2:30pm-3:30pm
Interested in exploring your senses through poetry? Interested in exploring those senses through nature and poetry? Come join us for a workshop where we will write into a natural scene with our five senses. We will do a free write and write to a prompt. Sharing your work is not required, it is okay to just write! Olivia Kingery has a Master of Fine Arts in environmental creative writing from NMU, and owns a local small farm. She looks forward to jumping into these scenes with you. Located in the Ray Leverton Community Room.
