🎉 You’re invited to the Grand Opening of Books for Friends! 📚
Join us at The Lakes Mall on Saturday, July 18, from 11:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m. for a full day of books, activities, refreshments, door prizes, and family fun!
Books for Friends is the Fruitport District Library’s used bookstore and activity center. Proceeds help support library programs, materials, and services for our community.
📖 Grand Opening Highlights
Open House: 11:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m.
Meet our volunteers, tour the bookstore, and learn more about Books for Friends.
🎪 Free Kids Carnival: 2:00–5:00 p.m.
Carnival games, prizes, crafts, and fun for children and families!
🎨 Activities throughout the day
Make a bookmark, add your favorite book to our book tree, join the Dino Scavenger Hunt for kids, explore the store, and enter our door-prize drawings.
🍪 Cookies and light refreshments
📚 Buy a Book—or Ten!
We have books for children, teens, and adults in a wide variety of genres, along with puzzles, DVDs, audiobooks, and more.
💲 Affordable Everyday Prices
Mass-market paperbacks — 50¢
Trade paperbacks — $2
Adult hardcovers — $3
Most children’s books — 50¢–$2
We also carry individually priced special collections, including select valuable art books, vintage and collectible titles, signed books, special editions, and other unique finds.

Thursday–Saturday: 11:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m.
