Looking for a cozy fall morning filled with books, coffee and new connections? Join The Yellow Daisy Events for Books, Brews & Boo Baskets a warm, small-group outing through downtown Irwin where you’ll meet fellow book lovers, enjoy local favorites, browse unique shops and exchange a personalized surprise at the end. We’ll begin at Feathers, a charming local gift shop and creative studio filled with handmade gifts, décor and one-of-a-kind finds. After a fun, low-pressure icebreaker, we’ll walk together to Cafecito, a cozy local coffee shop, where everyone will receive a drink and have time to connect. Next, we’ll visit Completely Booked, downtown Irwin’s independent bookstore, for time to browse and shop. Then we’ll return to Feathers for more shopping, a Blind Date with a Book and our special Boo Basket Exchange. You don’t need to bring a friend or know anyone attending. This event is designed to make it easy to meet new people and enjoy a relaxed, welcoming morning with fellow book lovers. WHAT IS A BOO BASKET? A Boo Basket is a fall or Halloween-themed gift basket filled with bookish treats, snacks and cozy surprises. After registering, you’ll complete a short questionnaire about your favorite genres, colors, snacks, drinks and fall favorites. You’ll receive another attendee’s answers to help you create a personalized Boo Basket for them and someone will use your answers to make one especially for you! Please bring a Boo Basket valued at $20 or more. Keep your identity a secret until the exchange.
