On Wednesday 5th August from 6:30pm to 8:30pm, Duncan from Duncan Murray Wines will be joining us at Quinns Bookshop for an evening of wine, food, and atmospheric book readings, designed to transport you to the balmy Med from the comfort of your local independent bookshop!
Throughout the evening you will be supplied with six tasting glasses of wine, each from a different destination: France, Spain, Greece, Northern Italy, Southern Italy, and even Georgia; a country with over 8,000 years of winemaking history.
Duncan will be sharing fascinating facts about the wine and the different region's boozy histories, after which you can close your eyes and imagine you're sipping your tipple from a starlit bistro in Paris, or a sunlit balcony in Andalucía, as Danny reads excerpts from books linked with each country.
Alongside this, there will be three courses of delicious food platters to accompany and compliment the wines, inspired by their countries of origin, made by the super Sue at Two Grannies and a Griddle.
