BookPeople Presents: Stories in Seven

Our theme is Back to School!

Were you and your freshman year dorm-mate polar opposites? Ever make the teacher cry? Maybe you were the crying teacher. Bring your best true story that celebrates the back to school season!

Attendees will vote for their favorite storyteller who will win a $25 BookPeople gift card at the end of the night.

Format:

• This event is free and open to the public but you can guarantee a seat and/or a storytelling slot with a paid ticket.
• Location: The second floor of BookPeople.
• Run time: 2 hours

Storytelling Guidelines:

• A very select few tickets are available to guarantee you a storytelling slot and a reserved seat.
• Any and all additional storytelling slots will be given to attendees randomly on the night of the event.
• Storytellers will have seven minutes to tell an original true story.
• By participating, you agree with BookPeople’s Mission, Values, and DEI Statement, and consent to share and use audio, video, and/or pictures of your performance on BookPeople’s social media and website. The use of offensive language and/or material is prohibited and BookPeople reserves the right to ask those that behave outside of our values to leave the bookstore, and/or event space.

• All ages are welcome, but please note some stories may contain mature content.
• Seating will be guaranteed for paid ticket purchasers but given on a first-come, first served basis.
• Free RSVPs will have access to standing room viewing.
