Bookmarked & Scribbled - Workshop/Book Swap

Bookmarked and Scribbled is a writing workshop and community book swap experience for those 18+ who are not only interested in developing or honing their writing skills, but reading and book lovers of all kinds! This will be an inclusive space for those of all writing levels! Writing utensils and paper will be provided. But, feel free to bring your own if you have a special kind of pen or notebook you prefer.

Local NWA author, Quintana McConnell, who's debut novel releases July 22, 2025 will be the host of this event. She has enjoyed writing and reading since she was little more than a toddler and will be providing insight into character building and leading some group exercises on the topic. In addition, everyone will be encouraged to share stories both written and read.

If you're able, you are encouraged to bring a blind-date-with-a-book for another community member to take home. These can be new or used books in good condition! Each book should include a few clues or a short note on the outside. Didn’t have time to prepare one? No worries—there will be a few extras available so everyone can participate in the fun.

This event is meant to foster literacy and storytelling. Build creative friendships and expand your network! We can't wait to see you there!
