To celebrate Children's Book Week we're having an extra special Story Stomp: Meet the Illustrator and Art Therapist session with Kirrili Lonergan at Newcastle City Library!Join Kirrili for an engaging session as she shares how she created the illustrations for The Welcome Cookies and presents a lively, interactive puppet show that brings her Lessons of a LAC characters to life - helping children learn how to manage their worries, big or small.

About Kirrili Longergan:
Kirrili Lonergan is a local picture book illustrator and art therapist who lives in Newcastle, Australia. She has a passion for visual storytelling and self-expression through art. She loves sharing her skills with children and relates warmly to their needs through her former years working as a paediatric nurse. She was shortlisted for the Speech Pathology of Australia Awards in 2018 for Ollie's Treasure by Lynn Jenkins and in 2022 for But I’m NOT Hungry for my Dinner by Val Gent.
