About Me Fran and the Shadow man: Me Fran and the Shadow man is a love letter to a brother who died too soon, a remembrance of a small town neighborhood in the 1960’s and scenes from the vibrant and changing city of Worcester, Massachusetts in the 1970’s as two adolescents make their way toward adulthood. The memoir uses insight, both comic and tragic, to contemplate her brother’s short life and celebrate Worcester State where she attended college in the 1970’s.
