Local author Jennifer de Mooy will give a short introduction to peatlands, read a sample of excerpts from her new book, and provide a short Q&A. Participants will learn how these unique wetlands—bogs, fens, mires, moors, muskeg, and pocosins—play an outsized role in promoting climate resilience. Light refreshments and book sales will be available.
