More about the book:
Generation Dread - Finding Purpose in an Age of Climate Anxiety by Britt Wray
In "Generation Dread," Britt Wray blends scientific research with emotional insight to show that eco-anxiety, a natural response to climate and environmental issues, is rising globally. She argues that acknowledging and embracing these emotions is the first step toward becoming active stewards of the planet. Despite unequal vulnerabilities to the climate crisis, we all share the burden as the situation worsens, making it crucial to tap into compassion and care. Wray integrates insights from climate-aware therapists, explores race and privilege, and offers creative coping strategies, illustrating how we can learn from our emotions and each other to survive and thrive in a changing world.
