Tom Motley of Fort Worth is well known in the Abilene arts community as an artist, teacher, and friend, and now he is an author as well. He’ll sign copies of his new novel, The Art of Farming: Sketches of Life in the Country – which he also illustrated -- on Saturday, November 23, from 1-3 p.m. at Texas Star. Judy Deaton, curator at The Grace Museum, says, “Motley’s tale of a rural Renaissance on a Texas farm enchants and transforms you to a realm that combines art history with a treatise on organic gardening.”
