Welcome to the Paradise Motel is a retelling of Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing set in modern Florida, which follows the adventures of small-town journalist Beatrice Bright as she flirts and fights with her high school rival, Ben Constant as they work together to bring truth to light after their friend’s reputation is ruined.

Olivia Taylor is a writer, teacher, and graduate student at Baylor University in Waco, Texas. When not writing or researching, she enjoys crocheting, haunting local coffee shops, and playing cozy videogames. She grew up in Fernandina Beach, Florida, which has a healthy population of pirates and community theatres, and lived in a motel-turned-dorm in college that inspired the Paradise Motel. Her poetry has appeared in The Avalon Literary Review, The Lamp, and Living Waters Review.
