David Itkin, music director and conductor of the Abilene Philharmonic, will sign copies of his new book, "Right Back Where I Started: A Memoir in Music," from 4-6 p.m. Sept. 25 at Texas Star. The book is a musical journey of the heart, mind and spirit, from the Pacific Northwest to China, Italy, the Middle East and countless locations in America. Thrilling performances, collaborations and travel have occurred in tandem with difficult choices and heartbreak. The book will also reveal riveting anecdotes and glimpses into his personal and professional philosophy. Mr. Itkin is also professor of music at the University of North Texas College of Music.
