We’re so excited to welcome horror & dark fantasy author Christina Henry to the shop for a book signing to celebrate the release of her latest novel, THE PLACE WHERE THEY BURIED YOUR HEART -- out 11/4/25!
Join us on Saturday, November 15th from 10am-12pm to meet the author, shop an excellent selection of dark fiction (she's written everything from horror to mystery/thriller to dark fantasy & reimagined fairytales), and take home a signed book--or few!

About Christina Henry:
CHRISTINA HENRY is the author of THE HOUSE THAT HORROR BUILT, a story about a single mother working for a mysterious horror director in a house full of secrets, and GOOD GIRLS DON’T DIE, a mystery/horror/thriller mashup about three women trapped in circumstances they know aren’t their own.
She is also the author of NEAR THE BONE, a horror/thriller about a woman trapped on a snowy mountain with more than one kind of monster, and THE GHOST TREE, a coming of age horror novel about a teenage girl growing up in a small town where girls keep dying.
She has also written the CHRONICLES OF ALICE series – ALICE, RED QUEEN, and LOOKING GLASS – a dark and twisted take on Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, as well as THE GIRL IN RED, a post-apocalyptic Red Riding Hood novel, and LOST BOY: THE TRUE STORY OF CAPTAIN HOOK, an origin story of Captain Hook from Peter Pan. Her novel THE MERMAID is a historical fantasy about P.T. Barnum and the Fiji Mermaid.
She is also the author of the national bestselling BLACK WINGS series (BLACK WINGS, BLACK NIGHT, BLACK HOWL, BLACK LAMENT, BLACK CITY, BLACK HEART and BLACK SPRING) featuring Agent of Death Madeline Black and her popcorn-loving gargoyle Beezle.
Her short stories have been featured in the anthologies ELEMENTAL FORCES, CURSED, TWICE CURSED, GIVING THE DEVIL HIS DUE and KICKING IT.
She enjoys running long distances, reading anything she can get her hands on and watching movies with samurai, zombies and/or subtitles in her spare time. She lives in Chicago with her husband and son.
