A Book for All Seasons is excited to welcome author, Ashley Schiavone, and illustrator, Jamie Lauby to Leavenworth for a book signing for their new book, The Wild and Magical: Legends of Christmas Reindeer. Drop by any time from 1-3pm on Saturday, December 13th to meet the author and illustrator, purchase a book, and get it signed. Join us and step into this snowy forest alive with holiday magic, where animals gather in joyful anticipation on their way to a winter celebration. Among the twinkling stars and quiet woods, something extraordinary is about to happen—the very first meeting between Santa Claus and his legendary Christmas reindeer.

Author Bios
Ashley Shiavone lives in the Pacific Northwest with her husband, their two daughters, a playful pup, and a sweet grandma who often arrives with hugs and homemade Italian food. Ashley loves to create time making for bits of joy in the business of the week. A tiny house for bugs in the garden. A funny song. An herbal tea. Equally important to her is the magical unmaking of all life's busyness — like a slow hike through woods with huge snowflakes falling down. She loves campfires with her family, mountain biking through the trails and always pausing to find magic in the nature around her. The Wild and Magical is Ashley and Jamie's first book— but their notebooks are scribbled full with adventures to come.
Jamie Lauby lives with her family in Snohomish Washington, surrounded by woods and forest inspiration. She has always loved to draw even from a young age. It was her first and favorite hobby. Her mother was a big influence in her love of art and nature. Her childhood was filled with all kinds of art projects, fairy tales, and animals. Jamie's favorite medium is watercolor and pencil. While raising her own children, she has enjoyed seeing the magic of the natural world through their eyes. Collaborating with Ashley has been a dream come true as they both live in the PNW and love the beauty of Washington.
