About this Event
About this Event
Mel Thacker, MD, spent her childhood cycling through periods of homelessness. She found stability and reward through discipline, hard work and schooling. She eventually rose to become an MD. But after experiencing panic attacks in the operating room, the identity she had spent her life building no longer felt like enough.
In her debut memoir, Thacker weaves together family dysfunction and extraordinary achievement. She is an ENT surgeon, professional coach, two-time TEDx speaker and host of the Surgeons with Purpose podcast.
Ten Trees Books is an indie bookstore located in historic downtown Natick with a loyal and growing following.
