Join us for a reading and launch celebration Saturday, September 6, from 2 to 5pm. Live music, kids' games from the 1890s, snacks, and more! The author will donate $1.00 from every book sold at the launch party to the Friends of the Orange County Library AND to the Burwell School Historic Site.
About the Book:
In Finding Your Place, it's 1894 and 11-year-old Ginny's life is about to be turned upside down. First her beloved Grandmother dies, then her parents decide to move away from their failing North Carolina farm to a cotton mill in search of a better life. Ginny is certain it won't be a better life for her - no friends, new school, and a strange new environment. Will she ever fit in?
