Book Lovers Confessional: An Open Mic Sesh with Devin Fitzgerald Giving Voice to Hot Takes About Under Appreciated and Overlooked Works in Print
Tell the world - what writer, book, genre, etc. do you feel has been overlooked or under appreciated. It's your turn to grab.
Our MC is Devin Fitzgerald, the curator of Global Book History and the History of Printing at UCLA library special collections. They run a poetry reading series, Briefly Here, and are also implicated in several international conspiracies. They have read the Voynich manuscript in its entirety. Obviously, Devin appreciates the obscure. True to their Pisces nature, Devin is compassionate, artistic, intuitive, gentle, but also loves sleeping and being alone, so count yourself lucky they are joining us.
Devin actively uses 12 languages in their work and instruction, including Chinese, Japanese, Italian, Latin and Spanish. Should you choose to use your real name when you step up to the mic, Devin will knock all pronunciations out of the park!
