Book Launch with Brisa Carleton | Just Her Holiday Type
About this Event
About the Book:
Every December Plum Hayes writes the kind of cozy Christmas romance movies her readers watch and love. Too bad she stopped believing in holiday magic the night her own happily-ever-after fell apart. Two weeks from deadline and out of holiday spirit, she’s been packed off to Pine Tree, a snow-globe town with all the charm but surprisingly few of the Christmas traditions for which it used to be known. There she finds the typewriter. And the typewriter magically manifests her leading man, named, dressed, and behaving to her exact specifications.
Zach is perfect. The problem is Ethan.
Ethan, the no-nonsense, flannel-wearing owner of the antique shop downstairs, who is holding things together with his own two hands, says inconvenient true things, and looks at her in a way no script could ever quite capture. With Christmas Eve closing in and her deadline looming, Plum is going to have to choose between the perfect man and the right one.
Just Her Holiday Type is a sweet, swoony, laugh-out-loud Christmas romcom about deadlines, do-overs, and what happens when you stop writing the script and start living it. For anyone who’s ever wanted to believe in holiday magic again.
About the Author:
Brisa Carleton is a bestselling author, screenwriter, and three-time Tony Award-winning Broadway producer based in Midtown Manhattan and Naples, Florida. She is the author of Last Call at the Savoy (winner of the American Fiction Award for Best Debut Novel), and the holiday romance Just Her Holiday Type. Her upcoming Hallmark Christmas movie will premiere as part of the 2026 Countdown to Christmas lineup.
Before turning a lifelong love of reading into a passion for writing, Brisa worked on numerous Broadway productions, including Hamilton, Beautiful: The Carole King Musical, and Moulin Rouge!. Then, in 2019, her career took an unexpected turn when HSH Prince Albert of Monaco invited her to lead his foundation’s philanthropy efforts in theater, dance, and film in honor of his mother, Princess Grace Kelly.
When she isn’t writing, Brisa is hosting friends around the piano for showtune sing-alongs or off traveling the world with her husband, Mark, and their Chihuahua, Mister Big, in search of a good story, a new escapade, and a very cold martini.
