You are invited to come and celebrate the publication of my book -at long last! First written in 1991, this book has formed the cornerstone of the practice of many professional handreaders over the last thirty years. The 'Palmistry of Fingerprints' is a comprehensive look at the significance of the skin ridge patterns found in your hands. While the forensic use of fingerprint identification has been in use since Victorian times, over the last one hundred years the modern study of dermatoglyphics has established the psychological, genetic and diagnostic value of the finger and palmar patterns. As biometric markers of that which is unique and individual to each of us, this book enables the reader to unveil the significance of their own fingerprint patterns and engage in a journey of personal meaning and psychological self-discovery. Your life is literally in your hands.

It would be lovely to see you there and celebrate this milestone with me. When I came to NZ in 2000, I put away all my handprints and handreading books and put my energies into family life and raising my wonderful children.. But since they have grown up, I have been able to get back to the thing that I most love doing!
So, if you have only known me in Devonport as the Red Dragon, the computer guy, the scout leader, the chess enthusiast, the Playcentre Dad, come and meet the other side of me!

Handreading Bio
Christopher Jones is one of the leading figures in modern hand reading. Trained in the early 1980s under the UK Cheirological Society, he became its first student to complete all advanced courses and later ran the organisation from 1988-1999. His work blends sociology, psychology, astrology, and esoteric Buddhist principles, refined through his postgraduate studies in Philosophy and Theology at Oxford University. A pioneering researcher and author of more than a dozen specialised books on palmistry and chirological diagnostics, Christopher has trained many of today’s most respected long-standing professional handreaders. In 2019, he co-founded the International Hand Reading Association (IHRA), promoting an ethical, research-driven approach to chirology worldwide. His written works are amongst the most esteemed books on handreading available today. He now lives in the Coromandel.
