Come join us for a night of literary fun at Brewer's Tap & Table! We're celebrating the release of Timothy Gager's latest book, Shadows Of the Seen, with a fantastic lineup of special guests. It's going to be a night to remember, filled with readings, book signings, and great company. Don't miss out on this exciting event!

Bestselling Author, Timothy Gager has published 20 books of fiction and poetry, which includes his fourth novel, Shadows of the Seen, and his most recent of poetry, Almost Bluing for X-Tra Whiteness . He hosted the successful Dire Literary Series in Cambridge, MA from 2001 to 2018, and started a weekly virtual series in 2020. He has had over 1000 works of fiction and poetry published, 19 nominated for the Pushcart Prize. His work also has been nominated for a Massachusetts Book Award, The Best of the Web, The Best Small Fictions Anthology and has been read on National Public Radio.


WITH SPECIAL GUESTS
Michael Ansara spent many years as an activist and an organizer, starting with the civil rights movement of the 1960s, going on to be a regional organizer for Students for a Democratic Society (SDS). He spent 10 years organizing opposition to the war in Vietnam. For 15 years, he was a community organizer, including directing Mass Fair Share. He has worked on political campaigns, coordinated voter registration efforts, and trained many organizers. He owned and ran two successful businesses. He is the co-founder of Mass Poetry. He currently serves on the Executive Committee of the Redress Movement and the organizing team for Volunteer Blue. His poems have appeared in numerous journals, and his essays have appeared in Vox, Arrowsmith, Solstice, and Cognoscenti. Cornell University Press will publish his memoir, The Hard Work of Hope, on July 15th, 2025.

DeMisty D. Bellinger lives with her family in Central Massachusetts, where she teaches creative writing. She has a BA in English from University of Wisconsin-Platteville, an MFA from Southampton College, and a PhD from the University of Nebraska. She is an alum of Bread Loaf and Marge Piercy’s Intensive Writing Workshop. Also, she was a resident at the Vermont Studio Center on a fellowship and at Gullkistan in Iceland with support from friends and family.

Denise Provost served for many years in local government and for almost fifteen years in the Massachusetts House of Representatives. She has published in such journals as Ibbetson Street, Muddy River Poetry Review, qarrtsiluni, Quadrille, Poetry Porch's Sonnet Scroll, Sanctuary, Light Quarterly, and in numerous Bagel Bard anthologies. She received the New England Poetry Club's Samuel Washington Allen Award in 2021, and the Best Love Sonnet Award from the Maria C. Faust Sonnet Competition in 2012. Her chapbook Curious Peach was published by Ibbetson Street Press in 2019.
