Join us for an unforgettable evening to celebrate the launch of Out of the Ashes, the powerful and deeply moving new memoir by Stephanie and Marie Browitt.
In December 2019, the Whakaari / White Island eruption changed their lives forever. Stephanie, just 23 at the time, suffered burns to 70% of her body and needed to have 8 fingers amputated. Tragically both husband and father, Paul, and daughter and sister, Krystal, lost their lives in the disaster. What followed was an extraordinary journey of survival, resilience, and the unbreakable bond between mother and daughter.
Out of the Ashes is a story of courage in the face of unimaginable loss - and the strength it takes to rebuild a life from the ground up. Through heartbreak and hope, Stephanie and Marie share their journey of recovery, advocacy, and finding meaning after tragedy.
