About this Event
Celebrate the launch and official unveiling of Our Stories Our World at the iconic Library of Birmingham — an inspiring afternoon of stories, culture and community.
Join us on Saturday 11 April 2026, 2:00–4:00 PM for a special event celebrating storytelling and the voices of young authors.
Our Stories Our World is a unique anthology created through the Books From Children To Children Summer Writing Competition, a national initiative founded by 7 year old author and literacy advocate Jayce Joyce BCyA.
The project brings together stories written by children, celebrating imagination, diversity and the power of storytelling. This special launch event will bring together families, educators, creatives and members of the community to celebrate the achievements of these young writers.

2. Purpose of the Event
This launch marks the publication of the first-ever national, child-led writing anthology in the
UK, created by children, for children, celebrating diversity, inclusion and underrepresented
voices.
The event aligns with The National Year of Reading 2026

Champion early literacy and children’s voices
Provide national visibility for child-led learning
