We are so excited to host the official book launch of Mississippi Law: Policy Reform in America’s Jim Crow Countryside, written by our dear friend, Dr. Justin Randolph!As a historian of Southern policing and longtime supporter of local advocacy efforts for police accountability and criminal legal reform, Dr. Randolph powerfully connects history with the work for societal transformation that our communities strive for today.
Join us as we celebrate the launch of his new book, which “chronicles the rural history of white supremacist policing and the Black freedom struggles that fought for better. It tracks the rise of American paramilitary police reform from segregation to the age of mass incarceration.”
