Richard Van Camp is a proud Tlicho Dene from Fort Smith, NWT, currently living in Edmonton. Richard is a storyteller and best-selling author of 31 books and graphic novels including the Eisner nominated A Blanket of Butterflies with artist Scott Henderson and colourist Donovan Yaciuk. His novel, The Lesser Blessed, was adapted into a feature film by First Generation Films. His graphic novel Three Feathers with artist Neiva Meteus has also been adapted for film and is the only movie in the history of the world to ever be filmed in four different languages: Bush Cree, Dene, South Slavey and English. Richard’s short story Wheetago War from his short story collection, Night Moves, is now an award-winning stop frame animation movie titled "Įk'ǫǫ̀ for When the Starving Return" with Spotted Fawn Productions and the NFB.
