We're delighted to be celebrating the launch of 'The Heartbeat Drum' by Deidre Havelock (author) and Aphelandra (illustrator). This beautiful picture book tells the story of Carol Powder, Cree activist and musician who founded an Indigenous hand drumming group, led by women and children, that spreads joy, healing, and unity. To add to the joy of this wonderful event, Carol herself will be joining us with her grandchildren in a drumming circle.
