Event includes a copy of the book, light food, and a discussion with the author in person at the bookstore.Sue Norman is a pioneer in international whitewater kayaking and rafting competition. Her memoir, RISK, is about extreme whitewater, extreme parenting, and the connection between an evolving relationship with outdoor adventure and resilience. Sue's memoir is about how the "good" risk provided by whitewater adventure helped her manage the "bad" risk of childhood trauma, experienced by both herself and her adopted nephew.
