Book Club: The Narrow Land

We are delighted to announce that our next Book Club meeting will take place on 9 October when we will discuss The Narrow Land by Christine Dwyer Hickey, who will also join us for the Frankfurt Book Fair later in October.

This event will be run in hybrid format, so you will have the opportunity to join us in person or online.

About the book:

Set in the summer of 1950 on Cape Cod, ten-year old Michael befriends local artists, Jo and Edward Hopper, while staying at a beach house. The story uses this unlikely friendship to examine the themes of loneliness, regret and the American Dream in the post-war era.
