About this Event

🐾 Love books and cats? So do we!

If your perfect Saturday afternoon includes a warm beverage, a good book, and a cat in your lap, you’re in for a treat!

Join us on Saturday, March 7, 2026, from 12:00–1:30 PM for our next Tenth Life Book Club. We’ll enjoy an afternoon of thoughtful literary discussion, cat cuddles, and community connection in our cozy adoption lounge.

📖 Our featured book is by Takashi Hiraide.

This quiet, beautifully written novella tells the story of a couple living in Tokyo whose lives are subtly transformed by a cat who wanders into their home and hearts. Meditative and deeply moving, The Guest Cat explores companionship, impermanence, and the small moments that give life meaning.

📚✨ Bring your thoughts and your love of stories. Our adoptable cats will do the rest!

To prepare you for a fun Book Club experience, here are a few important things to remember:

*Book Club begins at 12:00PM and will run until about 1:30PM.

*Doors open 15 minutes before the event at 11:45AM.

*Please try to arrive early to get cozy ... and hang out with kitties!

*Please note that doors will close at 12:00PM. Stragglers will not be admitted once Book Club begins so don't dawdle!

*If you're allergic to cats, please remember to take your meds because kitties will likely want to cuddle.
