This month, the group will discuss Lessons in Chemistry, by Bonnie Garmus. It is a funny and quirky story set in 1960’s California. Elizabeth is a brilliant female chemist who has to deal with the prejudice against women in the male-dominated world of science. As the science world tries to slam its door in her face, Elizabeth’s determined attitude and her love of chemistry result in her becoming the star of a unique TV cooking show. Read the book at your leisure, then come share your insights, thoughts and impressions with other BCA bookworms.
