Our next Book Club meeting will take place on 15 July, when we will discuss Glorious Exploits by Ferdia Lennon.
About the book:
Set on the island of Sicily during the Peloponnesian War but told in a contemporary Irish voice, Glorious Exploits follows two unemployed potters, Lampo and Gelon, who decide to stage a production of Medea. They soon begin to realise that putting on a play is not too dissimilar to waging war and comes with all sorts of risks…
This will be our last meeting before the summer break and we will reconvene in the autumn.
