With summer is coming to an end, it's a great time to curl up with a good book. Even better when the author is a sweet sister in Christ. Cleo Lampos is an amazing woman, teacher and author, along with being a wife and mother. Dust in the Stitches follows a young woman teaching in a one room schoolhouse during the Depression. Overwhelmed by the death of her Grandma, threats of foreclosure of her Grandpa's farm, trying to teach students more than just the 3 Rs, Addy uses scraps of cloth to stitch a quilt to remember and strengthen the faith her Grandma tried to instill in her. The proceeds to purchase the book go to support Sheltered91, a shelter that helps women in hopeless situations. Join us as Cleo uses her own quilt to tell her story. Please bring a dish to share.
