BookBuds is an informal reading buddies program for youth that pairs younger kids (elementary grades) with older kids (middle & high school grades) for one-on-one reading.Our TAB members will be the "big kids" available - you bring your elementary aged youth! No registration necessary. Drop in for any length of time between 4:00-5:00 pm on Thursdays.
Younger kids can read to or be read to by older kids or the pair can take turns sharing a book together. This program is meant to be a fun, no pressure way for youth to build a passion for reading for the fun of it. It is not a tutoring program. Books will be chosen by the readers from the library’s collection or favorites can also be brought from home.
